The Legend of the Dove… In religion, as well as in art, the dove symbolizes peace, good will and gentleness. The Holy Bible makes several references to the dove, the most popular of which is connected with Noah and the Ark. In Genesis we read that after the flood Noah "sent forth a dove to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the round." "But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth." After seven days he again sent forth the dove. This time, "she came unto him in the evening: and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf, pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth." Peace had returned.
This cross is crafted in 14k yellow gold or sterling silver and has a high polish and satin finish.
It measures about 1 1/8" tall and has a hidden bail. Only the sterling silver pendants include a lightweight sterling silver pendant chain. It is returnable in
